Most people who say they can’t wear wool have only ever worn coarse wool. Our knitwear is built on SilKnit™ — Mulberry silk blended with Australian Merino — plus CoolBlend™ for the pieces that need to breathe harder.
Prickle isn’t an allergy — it’s mechanical. Coarse fibres above roughly 30 microns are stiff enough to press into skin rather than bend against it, and that pressure is what your nerve endings register as itch. Fine Merino bends instead of poking. Blend it with Mulberry silk, one of the smoothest natural fibres there is, and the sensation disappears entirely for most people.
Two things wreck knitwear, and neither is wearing it. The first is hanging it — the weight of the garment pulls the shoulders out permanently, so fold it instead. The second is washing it too often; wool is naturally odour-resistant, so airing it overnight resets it and a wash is only needed when it’s genuinely dirty. When you do wash, use a cool wool cycle and dry flat, because the weight of held water is what stretches a wet jumper out of shape.
