Browse the SilkMode™ Socks range. No-show, ankle and quarter styles offer three easy levels of coverage. Softness, step by step.

SilkMode™ socks are knitted from Mulberry silk and Modal — the smoothest combination we make. Ultra-fine, exceptionally breathable, and cut low enough to disappear into dress shoes, loafers and the lowest-profile sneakers.
Silk has the smoothest surface of any natural fibre, which matters more in a sock than almost anywhere else: friction is what causes blisters, and a smoother fibre simply generates less of it. It also has a naturally cool handfeel and is one of the finest fibres available, so a silk-blend sock can be knitted thinner than a wool or cotton one without becoming fragile. Blended with Modal, which is highly absorbent and breathable, you get a sock that stays cool and dry in shoes with almost no ventilation.
They solve different problems. Merino regulates temperature and resists odour, which makes it the better choice for long days, travel and cold weather. Silk is smoother and cooler to the touch, which makes it better for warm weather and for closed dress shoes where friction and heat are the issues rather than cold. Neither is universally better — if you’re hiking, choose Merino; if you’re wearing loafers through an Australian summer, choose SilkMode™.
Cool machine wash, inside out, and air dry flat. Silk dislikes heat and harsh alkaline detergents more than it dislikes washing, so a gentle detergent and no tumble dryer will keep the finish for years.
