Made using leftover fabric from the linen range, this linen scrunchie puts existing material to use. The soft, breathable linen is gentle on hair and made to soften further over time.

Making clothes involves cutting shapes from larger lengths of fabric. Inevitably, smaller pieces remain. They are still perfectly good linen, just no longer the right size to become another shirt, trouser or skirt.
Instead of leaving that material unused, we turn those offcuts into smaller accessories. It is a simple way of getting more from fabric already in our production process and reducing what would otherwise go to waste.
These pieces use the same Airo-finished linen as the wider collection. Airflow and mechanical movement relax the fibres to give the fabric a softer, more tactile hand without taking away its natural texture.
That feel works particularly well in accessories. Soft enough for hair and skin, but still carrying the slightly irregular character that makes linen feel like linen.
The scrunchie keeps hair back at home, work or somewhere between the two. The triangle-cut scarf can move from hair to neck to bag depending on what you feel like doing with it.
The shoulder bag takes the same uncomplicated approach, with knot-able straps, a magnetic closure and an internal pocket to stop the smaller things disappearing.
Linen itself comes from flax, a renewable plant fibre with natural strength and durability. Here, the more important sustainability story is even simpler: making better use of material we already have.
An offcut does not need another complicated purpose. It just needs one good enough to keep it out of the waste pile and useful for longer.
