Where comfort starts

Fabric technology is core to how we build comfort at Paire. We engineer and develop our own trademarked material technologies in-house, starting with what a product needs to do, then working backwards through fibre, construction and process to get there.

That work can begin with unexpected inputs, from corn stalks in BioFlex™ to spent coffee grounds carried on recycled polyester in ReBrew™. Some materials require new ways of combining fibres; CoolBlend™ takes twelve additional processes before the yarn is spun. Others rely on regeneration, seamless construction or layering instead of a conventional blend.

The result is not one house fabric or one preferred fibre. It is an evolving body of material technology, developed around the job each product needs to do.

Supreme CoolBlend™

Australian Merino wool spun with organic cotton: wool's crimped fibre moves moisture as vapour, cotton adds softness and structure.

Supreme BreezeBlend™

Merino wool paired with eucalyptus-derived TENCEL™ Lyocell, spun in a closed loop that recovers over 99.8% of its solvent.

BioFlex™

Made from 50% recycled corn stalks, our bio-based material uses an innovative process that extracts starch glucose from straw and regenerates it into a nylon fibre.

ReBrew™

Spent coffee grounds are processed into particles carried on recycled polyester filament, then blended with organic cotton to create ReBrew™.

SilKnit™

Mulberry silk, produced by silkworms fed only mulberry leaves, is knitted with Australian Merino wool to create SilKnit™.

100% Merino

Two grades of Australian Merino: Ultra-Fine at 16.5 microns for next-to-skin tees, Superfine at 18.5 for thermals.

100% Organic Cotton

Organic cotton grown without synthetic pesticides, knitted at 330 to 430 GSM — heavy enough to hold structure through wear.

RegSilk

Silk cocoons regenerated into a protein fibre, spun into the one panel that sits closest to skin: the gusset.

BioTracker™

A hygiene tracker built into the garment, changing colour gradually with wear and washing until a pair is ready to replace.

ReForm™ Merino Fleece

A two-layer construction pairs Merino-blend fleece on the face with 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell against the body.

Made through repetition

A Paire material can take one to three years to develop. Depending on the project, we work with leading textile specialists and material labs around the world through rounds of design, trial, wear, redesign and repeat. Even after launch, the work continues, with materials reviewed and refined each year as new improvements become possible.

Start with the fibre

A fibre is not just an ingredient. Its length, fineness and structure determine how it can be spun, which machinery can handle it, what it can be blended with and how the finished material behaves. Plant and animal fibres follow different rules; silk behaves differently again as a continuous filament. Those limits shape every decision that follows.

Better, made specific

We do not treat sustainability as one claim applied across every material. It shows up in specific decisions: TENCEL™ Lyocell recovers more than 99.8% of its solvent in a closed loop, BioFlex™ replaces half its nylon input with corn straw, ReBrew™ puts spent coffee grounds to work on recycled polyester, and our Botanic Collection uses plant-derived dyes. None makes a product impact-free. Each is a more considered choice.

We develop our own materials when the ready-made option does not solve the problem well enough. Sometimes that means combining fibres that are difficult to spin together. Sometimes it means changing the input or process. The point is not to make everything proprietary. It is to keep working when the available answer falls short.
The next material starts with a practical question: what needs to feel or perform differently? From there, fibre choice, construction and process follow. The range keeps evolving, but the method stays the same: start with the problem, then develop the material around it.

The range includes natural fibres such as Merino wool, organic cotton and Mulberry silk, regenerated cellulose fibres such as TENCEL™ Lyocell and modal, and materials that use nylon or recycled polyester. We choose according to what the material needs to do rather than forcing every product into one fibre category.
For us, sustainability means pushing material choices as far as they can practically go. Some newer materials, like BioFlex™ and ReBrew™, are still costly to develop at scale, so recycled synthetics can play a role in durability and affordability. We invest in these materials because proving they can work commercially helps create room for better, more naturally derived options over time.
