Why 100% Cotton Rather Than a Blend
Nearly every tracksuit sold is a cotton-polyester blend, usually somewhere near 80/20. The polyester is there to cut cost and add a little abrasion resistance, but it’s also what makes a tracksuit feel plasticky after a dozen washes, hold odour, and pill at the cuffs. Pure organic cotton is more breathable, softens rather than degrades with age, and takes dye more evenly — which is why a matched set in 100% cotton still looks matched a year later.
