The Layer That Does the Most Work
An outer layer gets judged on two things: whether it’s warm enough, and whether you’re happy
being seen in it. Our women’s jackets are built in Merino and TENCEL™ blends to
do both — warm without bulk, clean enough to keep on indoors.
Why Choose a Merino Jacket?
-
Warmth without bulk: Merino insulates by trapping air in the fibre, so you don’t need thickness to
get heat.
-
Breathable: natural fibres let moisture vapour out, which is why you can wear one into a heated building
without immediately regretting it.
-
Naturally odour-resistant: an outer layer that goes a whole season between washes, comfortably.
- Packs down: light enough to carry when the afternoon turns warm.

Merino Fleece vs Synthetic Fleece
Standard fleece is polyester — warm, cheap, and prone to holding odour and shedding microplastics in
the wash. Merino fleece gets its warmth from a natural fibre that resists odour on its own, breathes far
better, and keeps insulating when damp. The trade-off is honest: synthetic dries marginally faster and costs
less. If you want a jacket you can wear several days a week for years without it starting to smell, wool
wins.
