I was a little dubious about this garment at first; it was so light-weight. Didn't need any convincing after the first wearing though. Super comfortable, and toastie warm. ( worn under a pair of light trou, on a wet, cold and windy Wellington day.)

close to perfect base layer

I've been wearing them under dresses and skirts this winter and they feel like a second skin! So smooth and perfectly stretchy. They're not completely opaque so I'm surprised they actually keep me warm! I guess they aren't really meant to be seen but they do have a slight sheen to them and I would prefer them matte, although then they probably wouldn't be as silky and sleek.
