Our story is a touching one — literally

Paire began in Melbourne in 2020, when Nathan and Rex started looking more closely at the clothes people rely on every day. Nathan brought an understanding of products and customers. Rex understood textiles from the fibre up. Together, they saw how often everyday essentials were overlooked.

Their first answer was a sock. Developed through repeated sampling and testing, it became the starting point for Supreme CoolBlend™ and a broader way of working. From a Melbourne garage, they packed orders, shared samples and listened closely to what people noticed when they wore them.

Our Vision

We believe the things worn closest to the body deserve the most consideration, bringing lasting comfort and quiet usefulness to everyday life rather than asking the wearer to choose between how clothing feels, performs and is made.

Close to skin

We begin with how something feels against the skin, then work backwards. Heat, friction, fit and breathability are not finishing touches. They are the reason a product exists, and the standard it has to meet before it earns a place in your day.

Carried forward

That approach has carried Paire from socks into underwear, bras, activewear and clothing. The categories have changed, but the intent has not: to make everyday essentials more comfortable, more useful and more considered, without asking for attention.

Nothing worn this close should be made without purpose. Every fibre, seam and finish should earn its place against your skin, and in your day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Paire is a Melbourne-founded essentials brand built around fabric innovation. We make socks, underwear, bras, activewear and everyday clothing, beginning with how each piece should feel and function against the skin.
We start with the wear problem, rather than a trend. Heat, moisture, odour, friction and fit inform the material and construction before the final silhouette takes shape. The design stays quiet, while the difference becomes clearer with wear.
Some Paire materials are developed from the fibre or yarn level. Others pair carefully selected fibres with specific construction methods. Each begins with a clear purpose, then moves through repeated sampling, testing and refinement before becoming part of a finished product.
A single fibre cannot solve every problem. We combine materials according to the qualities each one brings, from softness and breathability to stretch, structure and durability. The blend is considered around the product, rather than applied across the range by default.
We believe a more responsible product should also be the one people genuinely prefer to wear. Material choice, performance, durability and long-term use are considered together, without asking the wearer to compromise on comfort.

Our Materials

Navy[portrait]

Supreme CoolBlend™

Australian Merino wool spun with organic cotton: wool's crimped fibre moves moisture as vapour, cotton adds softness and structure.

Supreme BreezeBlend™

Merino wool paired with eucalyptus-derived TENCEL™ Lyocell, spun in a closed loop that recovers over 99.8% of its solvent.

BioFlex™

Made from 50% recycled corn stalks, our bio-based material uses an innovative process that extracts starch glucose from straw and regenerates it into a nylon fibre.

ReBrew™

Spent coffee grounds are processed into particles carried on recycled polyester filament, then blended with organic cotton to create ReBrew™.

SilKnit™

Mulberry silk, produced by silkworms fed only mulberry leaves, is knitted with Australian Merino wool to create SilKnit™.

100% Merino

Two grades of Australian Merino: Ultra-Fine at 16.5 microns for next-to-skin tees, Superfine at 18.5 for thermals.

100% Organic Cotton

Organic cotton grown without synthetic pesticides, knitted at 330 to 430 GSM — heavy enough to hold structure through wear.

RegSilk

Silk cocoons regenerated into a protein fibre, spun into the one panel that sits closest to skin: the gusset.

BioTracker™

A hygiene tracker built into the garment, changing colour gradually with wear and washing until a pair is ready to replace.

ReForm™ Merino Fleece

A two-layer construction pairs Merino-blend fleece on the face with 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell against the body.
