RegSilk™

RegSilk™ Protein Fibre is made by regenerating silk-cocoon fibres left over from silk production, then blending them into a soft, wearable yarn. In Paire underwear, it forms the gusset rather than the main body fabric.

Its silk-protein construction is selected for natural antibacterial and odour-management properties. These qualities help the gusset feel fresher through long days, movement and travel.

The gusset sits against the body's most sensitive area and manages the most moisture. Using RegSilk™ there places its smoothness, breathability and freshness exactly where they matter.

Woven silk is the cocoon filament reeled off intact and woven into cloth. RegSilk™ starts from the silk-cocoon material left over from that process: it is broken down to the protein and re-formed into a new fibre, which can then be knitted into a stretch gusset. That is why it behaves like a knit rather than a delicate woven, while keeping a smooth protein surface against skin.

Follow the care label on the specific product. Generally, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, then air-dry away from direct heat.

Its surface is exceptionally smooth and designed to minimise friction against delicate skin. Individual sensitivities vary, so anyone with a known silk, modal or elastane allergy should check the full composition before wear.

RegSilk™ is a regenerated silk protein. That means the same rule as silk and wool: no biological, enzyme or stain-fighting detergent, because protease breaks protein down and the damage accumulates with every wash. Mild, pH-neutral and enzyme-free only.

Skip chlorine bleach, which attacks protein fibres directly. And no fabric softener, which leaves a film over the smooth surface that's the whole reason RegSilk™ is in the gusset in the first place.
